AI Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
1. Scope
QuantRidge provides AI-assisted features — including the public Ask QuantRidge assistant, in-product research agents, and the Research Engine. This AI Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use them and applies to every user, on every plan, including trial and free access.
This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Where the two conflict on AI use, this AUP controls. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
2. What these features are, and are not
QuantRidge is software. It is not a Registered Investment Adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer, or law firm, and the AI features do not change that. They do not create an advisory, brokerage, or fiduciary relationship, they do not provide personalized investment, tax, or legal advice, and they do not execute transactions or take custody of assets.
Output is informational and educational. Every decision, and every consequence of a decision, remains yours. See the Legal disclosure for the full statement.
3. Permitted use
- Asking questions about your own linked portfolio data, models, and documents you upload.
- Generating drafts, summaries, comparisons, and analyses for your own review.
- Automating routine research consistent with applicable law and your account permissions.
- Exporting output you create for your personal records or your firm's internal use.
- Using output in work you deliver to your own clients, provided you review it, you remain responsible for it, and you comply with your own regulatory obligations.
4. Prohibited use
You may not use QuantRidge AI features to do any of the following.
Unlawful and harmful use
- Violating any law, regulation, sanctions program, or third-party right, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
- Generating or distributing content designed to defraud, including fake statements, forged records, fabricated performance results, or fictitious credentials.
- Market manipulation of any kind — pump-and-dump promotion, coordinated ramping, spoofing narratives, or fabricated research intended to move a security.
- Producing unregistered investment solicitations, or presenting AI output as personalized advice from a registered adviser.
- Harassment, threats, or content that targets a person or group for abuse.
Misrepresenting AI output
- Presenting AI-generated analysis to a client, investor, or regulator as human-authored work when the distinction matters.
- Removing or obscuring accuracy disclaimers from exported AI output that will be relied on by someone else.
- Using AI output as the sole basis for a recommendation you make to another person in a regulated capacity.
- Representing that QuantRidge, or its AI features, is a Registered Investment Adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer, or law firm.
Attacks on the platform
- Attempting to extract system prompts, model weights, training data, source code, configuration, credentials, or infrastructure details.
- Prompt injection, jailbreaking, or any attempt to induce the assistant to bypass its instructions or safety screens.
- Attempting to access another customer's data, account, or conversation, or to induce an assistant to disclose it.
- Circumventing rate limits, quotas, authentication, or access controls, including by automation or distributed requests.
- Uploading malware, probing for vulnerabilities without written authorization, or scraping the Service or third-party sites at scale.
Commercial misuse
- Reselling, sublicensing, or providing AI access to anyone outside your subscription, including by sharing credentials.
- Using the Service to build, train, or benchmark a competing model or product.
- Systematically extracting output to reconstruct our knowledge base, feature catalog, or datasets.
Sensitive data
- Submitting government identification numbers, full payment card numbers, passwords, or account credentials into an assistant.
- Submitting another person's personal information without the authority to do so.
- Submitting protected health information, or data subject to obligations we have not agreed to in writing.
5. Accuracy and human review
AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and it can be wrong in a way that reads as confident. You are responsible for verifying anything material before you trade, file, sign, or advise. QuantRidge does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI output for any purpose.
If you are a regulated professional, you remain solely responsible for your own suitability, supervision, recordkeeping, disclosure, and compliance obligations. Nothing produced by the Service discharges them, and we make no representation that any output satisfies a regulatory requirement applicable to you.
6. Your inputs and our model use
- We do not train on your data. Your inputs, documents, and assistant conversations are not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine-learning model, ours or a third party's.
- What is sent where. The text of your message and the recent turns of the conversation are sent to our inference provider to generate a reply. Account records, other customers' data, and source code are never placed in the model context. The provider is listed on our subprocessors page.
- Screening. Messages are screened on our servers before reaching the provider and replies are screened before being returned. Refused messages are never transmitted.
- Logging. We log assistant activity for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and legal compliance, retained per the schedule in the Privacy policy.
- Output ownership. As between you and QuantRidge, you own the output you generate, subject to the Terms. Output is not unique — similar prompts may produce similar output for other users, and we make no exclusivity claim on your behalf.
7. Rate limits and fair use
AI features are subject to rate limits and fair-use thresholds that protect availability for everyone. We may throttle, queue, or temporarily suspend access that materially exceeds normal individual or firm use, or that appears automated. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before suspending a paid account for fair-use reasons, except where the activity poses an immediate risk.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and, depending on severity, warn you, restrict or suspend AI feature access, suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or report conduct to law enforcement or a regulator where the law requires or permits it.
For serious violations — attacks on the platform, attempts to reach other customers' data, fraud, or market manipulation — we may act immediately and without prior notice. Termination for violation does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
9. Reporting and changes
Report abuse, a suspected vulnerability, or output you believe is harmful to support@quantridge.net. Please include enough detail for us to reproduce the issue. We do not pursue legal action against good-faith security research that respects this policy, stays within your own account, and gives us reasonable time to remediate before disclosure.
We may update this AUP as the features and the risks change. Changes are posted here with a revised date. Material changes that restrict permitted use will be announced by email or in-product at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
